Our Response To Payment CutsThe Surgical Care Coalition is comprised of 12 surgical professional associations that proudly represent the more than 150,000 surgeons working across the country with a common goal of improving the quality of care, and quality of life, for all patients.
At a time when the U.S. health care system is under tremendous strain due to COVID-19, the Surgical Care Coalition is dedicated to protecting access to necessary surgical procedures and high-quality care for all patients.
Surgical Care Coalition members have met informally since the 1980s. Joining together, the group promotes sound public policy solutions to the U.S. Congress and federal regulatory agencies to solve the biggest challenges in health care.
In the spring of 2020, the founding 12 surgical professional associations formalized this existing network, establishing the Surgical Care Coalition to provide a shared voice for the surgical profession, the 150,000 surgeons in America and the patients they serve.
The Surgical Care Coalition represents the shared interests of 12 surgical professional associations across all surgical specialties.
